SAM OVERTON – CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Handsome, Charming, Charismatic… These are just some of the words that sum up this cheeky, tattooed English Fella.
With 17 years in the industry, Sam travels the globe playing hairdresser, being requested all over the world for his informal and entertaining approach to the way he delivers education.
Also known to run his fingers through many a celebrity’s locks; his work has been featured in the likes of Vogue, Marie Claire, Oyster Magazine, Frankie, Yen, Cosmopolitan Magazine, Instyle, Culture and Instyle Hair, to mention a few.
Sam started hairdressing in a small town in the South of England and soon became hungry to see what other hair was out there. He soon found himself working up the ranks of TONI&GUY and in late 2006, Sam became another Pom to fall in love with the beautiful land known as Australia.
Since being in the Southern Hemisphere Sam has been the Creative Director for TONI&GUY Australia, TIGI Australia and New Zealand, Creative Director for H2D Hair care, one of the key ambassador’s for Excellent Edges Scissors and is now the face of Silver Bullet tools and Parlux Hairdryers.
In early 2014 Sam was given the title of Creative Director Unilever Hair Care. This multi talented rock star wannabe, has his fingers in many a hairdressing pie, he truly loves and takes pride in every aspect of what he does.
Hairdressing isn’t a job to Sam; it’s a way of life. This inspirational geeza is well and truly an industry ambassador. He has been nominated for and won many awards, but still has both feet on the ground. It’s impossible not to let his passion, love for life and down to earth cheeky personality rub off on you.
